What is the Card Security Code?
Código CVV
The security code CVV (Card Validation Value) is an extra security feature to ensure that you have physical possession of the payment card. It is, therefore, an additional protection measure for credit or debit card-not-present transactions occurring over the Internet, by mail, fax or over the telephone. This code is thus intended to verify the authenticity of your VISA or MasterCard/Maestro payment card.

The CVV is printed on the back of this type of cards, next to the signature strip and it is a group of three digits, appearing separately or after the card number.
